Dolores J. Kaiser

Dolores J. Kaiser, 88, passed peacefully to her home in Heaven on December 15, 2016. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend she was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Dolores was born on November 4, 1928 to Bernice (Luchene) and Arthur Johnson and grew up in the Hessville section of Hammond. She was a graduate of Hammond Technical High School, and in 1951 married the love of her life, Forrest A. Kaiser. She had two children: a daughter, Claudia (John Booker) who survives and a son Kurt (deceased). She leaves behind two grandsons: Joshua (Amanda) Kaiser and Justin Kaiser; three great grandchildren: Lillie, Quintin, and Paige Kaiser; sister in law Josephine Johnson; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son and brother. Dolores was a loyal and devout worshipper at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Highland. As an active member of the Women's Guild, she was well known for her decorating skills at church functions. She also kept us all looking good as a hairstylist with her home business of 27 years. Her inner strength and courage were unwavering and a great legacy to us all. Memorial arrangements are pending through Kuiper Funeral Home.
