Donald "Don" Roy Dixon Sr., age 69, of Crete, IL, (formerly of Chicago, IL) passed away on January 14, 2026. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Susan Dixon; children Jessica (Joseph) Gromek and Donald Roy Dixon Jr. (Monique); grandchildren Adam Gromek, Iris Dixon, and Lincoln Dixon; siblings Judy Luczak, Allen Dixon, and Deborah (William) Masser; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents James and Marian Dixon.
A memorial visitation will be held for Don on February 6, 2026, at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd. in Highland, IN from 2:30 - 6:30 p.m. A memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m. at the same location.
Don was a very talented musician. He loved playing the drums and singing. Don was a big foodie, and he was always happy to see his grandchildren. He loved joking around with people, giving them funny nicknames, but Don laughed the hardest at his own jokes. Don will be terribly missed by his beloved family.
