Donald R. Widiger age 83 of Highland, IN passed away November 12,2013; he is survived by his wife of 59 years Mary, one Robert (Julie) Widiger of Highland, IN, three daughters Linda (Tom) Goldsmith of Munster, IN, Brenda (Bob) Green) of Cedar Lake, IN, Sharon (Tim) Anderson of Schererville, IN, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, preceded in death by his parents Emmanuel and Meda Widiger, sisters Leora and Margaret, and brothers Richard, Edward, Robert and Joseph. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 15, 2013 10:00 Directly at St. James Catholic Church. Rev. Keith Virus officiating, cremation to follow; friends may visit with the family on Thursday November 14, 2013 from 3 to 7 pm (with a 3:30 pm prayer service) at Kuiper Funeral Home 9039 Kleinman Rd ( two blocks south of Ridge Rd.) Highland, IN. Donald was a member of St. James Catholic Church, retired from Inland Steel Co. after 25 years, US air force veteran of the Korean War.
