Eleanor Church

Eleanor Church (nee Hoffner) age 84, of Highland passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010. She is survived by her two children: Dennis (Cassandra) Church of Costa Rica and Sandra Church of Highland; five grandchildren: Teal (Matthew), Dereme, Ronald Jr., Robert and Tina; two nieces: Pam (Jim) Wheatman of Valparaiso and Vicki (Mike) Hodge of Westville. Mrs. Church was preceded in death by her husband, Roger and two sons: Rodney and Ronald Sr. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 22, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. DIRECTLY at First United Methodist Church, 44th Pl & N. Cline Ave., Griffith, IN with Rev. Dr. Randall McQueen officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetry, Valparaiso. Friends are invited to meet with the family from 3:00-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland. Mrs. Church was a member of First United Methodist Church of Griffith and member of the Crafty Ladies at the church. She retired from the School Town of Highland with over 20 years of service and Sandridge Bank with over 10 years of service. Eleanor enjoyed and was very creative with sewing, Knitting and crocheting. She was a loving devoted mother and friend.
