Elizabeth L. Chaffee

Elizabeth was a woman of deep love, enduring faith, and boundless spirit. She cherished her family above all and found joy in every gathering, every story, and every song. Her voice, whether in laughter or melody, brought warmth to those around her, and her stories of growing up were treasures she shared often and fondly.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marion T. Chaffee; her children, Jeffery Chaffee and Mary Weyhe; her parents, Mary and Hansford Pettry; her brothers, Charles and J.T. Pettry; her sisters, Clara Lawrence and Bonnie Jenkins; and many other cherished family members and friends, who she held close to her heart.

She is survived by her loving children, Elaine Allman and Thomas Chaffee; her brother, Alan Jenkins; and a legacy of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind countless nieces and nephews, who were touched by her kindness, wisdom, and gentle humor.

Elizabeth’s love was unconditional, her heart always open, and her presence a source of comfort. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

Private cremation services were entrusted to Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland,IN 46322.
