EVELYN L. WOJAS HIGHLAND, IN Evelyn L. Wojas (nee Kluga), age 75, of Highland, IN passed away Monday, October 14, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Timothy) Hogueisson of Highland, IN; granddaughter, Alexa Hogueisson of Highland, IN; sister, Justine (Don) Biesczat of Griffith, IN; brother-in-law, Ted Wojas; seven nieces: Darci, Jean, Donna, Cathy, Theresa, Cathy, and Linda; seven nephews: Jeff, Richard, Stanley, Anthony, Matthew, Tony and Casey. Mrs. Wojas was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1991; and parents: Thomas and Bernice Kluga. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 18, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 3025 Highway Ave., Highland, IN with Rev. Edward Moszur officiating. Entombment will follow at Catholic Cemeteries, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. (prayer service 3:30 P.M.) at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN. Mrs. Wojas was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Highland and retired from Sterk’s in Munster (45th St. store). She was a member of the Polish Women’s Alliance of America and was extremely proud of her Polish heritage. Mrs. Wojas was also an avid plant lover.
