Gordon F. La Bounty, age 79, of Highland, IN passed away May 30, 2014. He survived by son, Michael (Wendy) La Bounty; daughter, Mary-Kaye La Bounty; four grandchildren: Traci, Phillip, Jacob, and Julia, six great grandchildren: Kaylynn, Cameron, Mikayla, Hayden, Danielle, and Alice; one sister, Patsy (Jack) Fowler. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; one brother, Gerald La Bounty. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd. (two blocks south of Ridge Rd.), Highland, IN with Pastor Jeffrey Whittaker officiating. Burial Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Monday June 2, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Gordon was active member of Sheet Metal Workers Locals 303 and 20 of Gary, IN for 57 years, and member of American Legion Post 168. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
