Grace Stacey-Lynn Cordero

Grace is the loving wife of 29 years to George Cordero; devoted mother to Sabrina Cordero and Brandon Cordero; cherished daughter to the late Lyle Manning; fond sister to Jennifer Manning, Beth Bates, Eddie (Jennifer) Petery and the late Bobby (Myrilda) Schultz; aunt to many nieces and nephews; cousin to many; special daughter to Yolanda Cordero and the late Jaime Cordero; dear niece to Penny (Tom) Fetterhoff and dear cousin to Beverly (Mark) Strickland.

Grace worked for several years in the dental field. She also enjoyed being a server at the White Sox Ball Park (even though she was a huge Cubs Fan). Grace was a member of the Hammond YMCA where she enjoyed her yoga and drumming classes. Her fun and and caring demeanor made it easy for her to make strangers into instant friends. Grace's smile would light up the room. She was a great wife, mother and became a second mother to many. She will be remembered for being a hard worker and was very creative. She was inspirational with her courageous battle with cancer and fought to the very end.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 pm with a celebration of life at 6:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home.
