HAROLD J. O'CONNOR HIGHLAND, IN Harold J. O'Connor, age 93, of Highland, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011. He is survived by one daughter, Carol (Stan) Green of Hobart; one son, Gregory (Teena) O'Connor of Noblesville, IN; four grandchildren: Steven (Lynette) Green, Brian Green, Kerry (Ryan) Nesbitt, and Evan O'Connor; four great grandchildren: Gabrielle, Paul, Jacob, and Kayla Green; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by wife, Dorothy. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Highland with Rev. Eric Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends are invited to meet with the family Friday from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, IN. Harold was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Highland where he was past president of the congregation and an Elder. He was past president of the Telephone Pioneers, member of the church dart ball team, retired from Indiana Bell after 43 years, and served on the sanitary board.
