Jeffery "Porky" John Dembowski

Jeffery "Porky" is survived by his children Jenna (Billy) Wheeler, Jeffery Dembowski Jr. and Lisa (Henrick) Johnson; his brother Connie Dembowski and sister-in-law Marylou Dembowski; his grandchildren Landon LaReau, Sarah Johnson; his niece Erika Krysaic and his nephew John Dembowski.

Jeffery "Porky" Dembowski lived a full life as a long time, beloved employee of Linde. Jeffery also raised numerous animals on his farm, a place where he was able to teach kids the value of hard work. He enjoyed hunting on his property, gardening and preparing his hogs for Porky's Custom Hog Roasting. Porky's Custom Hog Roasting will be celebrating their 40th year at the Lake County Fair in 2022. This legacy will be passed to his grandson to keep the family tradition alive and well. When Jeffery wasn't working he enjoyed collecting antiques and going to auctions. He spent time away on a remote area called the Mushroom Head, where he would hunt, gather morels and find peace. He was always very proud of his children and grandson. As a cherished father, grandfather, uncle and friend, he will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, we would like to collect donations for his four caregivers who took care of Jeffery at the end of his life; Bernie, Mary, Amanda and Victoria. These ladies helped him transition and have peace. We would also like to thank Kristy Chapman and Amy Cross at Transitions Hospice for their wonderful care.

A public visitation for Jeffery will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd, Highland, Indiana 46322. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home.
