Jennifer Ann Butler

Jennifer Ann Butler, age 47, of Valparaiso, Indiana passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Jennifer was born January 11, 1974 in East Chicago, Indiana to Theresa Cesare and Robert Lee Butler. Jennifer attended Highland High School. After receiving her GED she went on to study nursing where she became a Certified Nurse Assistant. As a young girl she loved singing and helping her mom bake. She enjoyed spending time with her brother Michael and she had a big heart for cats. Jennifer was preceded in death by father Robert Lee Butler; maternal grandmother Theresa Negele, maternal grandfather Joseph Negele, paternal grandmother Adderly Butler, paternal grandfather Eual Butler, aunts Christine and Mary Louise Smith, and cousin Christopher Smith. Jennifer is survived by her loving mother Theresa Cesare and step father Antonio G. Cesare; brother Michael S. Butler; aunt Kathleen McCror, 5 cousins Martha Lessner, Reina and Kristina Smith, Angela Staples, John Kowalski, 6 dear friends Michelle and Rick Marino, Maryann and Karen Steiger, Cindy and William Hart Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends. Jennifer will be deeply missed by all who loved her. The family would like to thank Dr. Peter Mousa and the nursing staff that attended Jennifer at Porter Regional Hospital, Valparaiso, Indiana and also Dr. A. Gupta and Kelly and the caring staff at the Visiting Nurses Hospice in Valparaiso In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jennifer's memory may be made to American Cancer Association; and Visiting Nurses Association.
