I've only found out about John's passing last week and am regretting not being a better friend way back in the Oak Forest days as well as not keeping touch since our last impromptu fishing, also in Oak Forest.  My heart goes out to the family and I'll do my best to try and find/scan any pictures my mother kept from that era. Rest in Peace brother

I don't even know what to say. You are going to be so missed. You were always great at keeping in touch with me even when I was overseas. I wish I could have seen you one last time. Don't worry, I'm going to keep an eye out for both of your girls and know that I will treat Julee as though she is my own and I will always do my best to make sure she is taken care of. I love ya Johnny, you will always be my brother.

I am truly sorry that we were not able to get to really know each other and that you will not live a long healthy life watching your daughter grow up. You had to deal with so much illness in your short life, but now you are at rest and suffer no more. Your father expressed often how much he loved you and how he wished things could have been different. I pray that God watches over your family and gets them through this difficult time. Just know you will be missed.

I am going to miss you son. I am most sorry that your life was cut way too short and that I won't be able to hear the sound of your voice. I know you will always watch over Julee and your spirit will be with all of us. Rest in peace and comfort and know you are forever loved and in my heart.

I'm still reeling from this. Who am I going to argue liberal politics with?? You are the first real hole in this family and don't for a minute think it won't be felt. We didn't always get along, but I told you every time I talked to you that we loved you. I'm going to miss you Polish Pete. You were truly an original.
