John James Boender

John James Boender, age 77, of Highland went to his eternal home on Easter Sunday April 5, 2015. He is survived by his beloved wife Nancy: his children Alison Last, Lorene (Dwayne) Evenhouse, John (Jill), Peter (Heidi), Deanna (Eduardo) Berrios and Keith (Megan); 14 grandchildren: Tyler (Marcia) Last, Anthony (Samantha) Last, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Evenhouse, Austin, Justine, and Alise Evenhouse, Jaclyn, Jacob, and Joshua Boender, Calvin, Ethan, and Nolan Boender, Olivia Boender, and Jaden Berrios; his brothers Carl (Annette) Boender and Paul (Barb) Boender, sister Theresa (Ken) VerSteeg and many loyal and caring nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Gertrude. He will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the New Life CRC, Highland with Reverend L.A. Bazuin officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery. Friends are invited to meet with the family from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Kuiper Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Highland Christian School or Illiana Christian High School.
