

After Joe's time serving his country honorably in the United States Air Force, he went on to work for Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad. He was a loyal employee for 43 years prior to his retirement. His family will always remember his generosity, kindness, love of the garden, and taking care of animals. His warm smile, and attitude will never be forgotten.
He leaves behind his wife, Jane (nee Brandys); two sons, Tom Mach and David (Linda) Mach; granddaughter, Michelle Zafran; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, and several brothers and sisters.
A public visitation for Joseph will be held Monday, April 3, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322, followed by a prayer service at 4:30 PM. Joseph will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Crown Point, IN at a later date.
