Josephine Lewis Ferguson

Josephine Ferguson, 77, of Gary passed away Easter Sunday April 4, 2010. Survivors include her four loving children: Daney (Ruth) Ferguson of Gary, Roger Delwin (Cheryl) Ferguson of Valparaiso, Donna (Mike) Taylor of Midland, TX, and Denise (Craig) Post of Erie, PA; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; sister, Faye (Carson) Hutchinson of Crockett, KY; brothers: Ernie (Etterie) Lewis of Ashland, KY, Charles (Lola) Lewis of Marion, OH and Lowell Conley of DeMotte, IN; and an extraordinary support network of extended family, church family, and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Lakewood Enterprise Baptist Church, 5480 Chase St., Merrillville with Reverends Charles Ison and Marion Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN on Thursday from 1:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM. Josephine attended Lakewood Enterprise Baptist Church. She was a loving wife and mother, a devoted daughter and sister. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given as memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
