Joyce Lee Starkey

Joyce L. Starkey, age 87, of Hammond, passed away on June 29, 2018 at her residence. Joyce was born June 30, 1930 in East Chicago, IN to the late Andrew and Blanche Ypma. Left to cherish her memory are her children, David (Cindy) Starkey and Karen Starkey; grandchildren, Robert (Becka) Starkey and Sara (Jake) Owens; great grandchild, Liam Starkey Joyce was a lifelong resident of Hessville. She was an executive secretary for 35 years for the Internal Revenue Service and retiring from Correct Piping Company in Gary. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Joyce was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Private family services will be conducted at a later date.
