Lloyd C. Peoples, age 84, of Birmingham, AL, formerly of Merrillville, went to his eternal home on January 24, 2011. He is survived by his daughter: Shelia P.(Leslie) Burch of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren: Angela Burch of AL, Mathew(Krystal) Burch of AL, and Nicole Peoples. He was preceded in death by his loving wife: Lou Venia Peoples in 2008 and son: Carl Rowland Peoples in 1995. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd.(2 blocks south of Ridge Rd.), Highland, Indiana, with Pastor Tom McDonnell, officiating. Interment at Memory Lane Cemetery, Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family also on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Lloyd worked in the steel industry in Gary for many years and was retired from American Bridge. He resided at St. Martin’s in the Pines in Birmingham for over two years.
