Lorena M Smith

Lorena M. Smith (Conway), age 80, of Merrillville, IN- Our lives were forever changed when God called another Angel home on October 14, 2017. Lorena was born in Frankfort, KY to the late Luther and Lela Conway. She was the beloved wife of the late Mar R. Smith. Lorena was the loving mother of Barbara K. Smith, the late Arnold Smith, Patty (late Joe) Dickerson and Kathy Smith, all of Northwest Indiana, and Debbie (Bob) Kachur of Charlotte, MI. She was the cherished grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 20, and great great grandmother of 3. Lorena is also survived by 3 siblings: Jean (late George) Giles, Danny (Patti) Conway and Roger Conway, all of Frankfort, KY. Lorena enjoyed arts and crafts, playing bingo, and quality visits with family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN with Pastor Thomas McDonnell officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m. (time of service) at Kuiper Funeral Home.
