Even though I haven't seen Uncle Louie in years and years the whole family is in my thoughts and prayers. He was a great Uncle and I have very fond memories of us growing up, especially at Christmas when we all got together. Love, Elaine

I will always appreciate the time we spent together on a couple of projects: he showed me how to put a great finish on an office desk and second, the time we spent up on ladders putting siding on the educational wing of the church.  Lou was a great teacher of the Word and enjoyed his men's class, and he spent a lot of time taking care of the church yard and making it look so great.  He was a great example through his faithfulness to the Lord.

While reflecting on the life of Uncle Lou, a verse of Scripture came to mind that I feel would express his heart:  " I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness..."  Family and friends can be thankful for a life well lived.  Cousins Jerry, Jack and Gigi, our hearts go out to you in your loss and you are in our prayers.  May you be upheld by God's sustaining grace.

I have very fond memories of the DeBoer family at CFC.  I saw your father recently at Munster Med-Inn and enjoyed visiting with him.  My thoughts and prayers are with your family in the loss of a great man.  One day we will all enjoy a blessed reunion in Heaven with so many loved ones.

I have great memories of Uncle Lou and his family at our church and the annual Deboer Thanksgiving get together.He was the 1st to take me ice fishing at Willow Slough.He was great at his profession and my parents and i both used him. Welcome to Heaven Uncle Lou.

Mr. DeBoer was always there at CFC, so to me, he was a faithful believer. He would come into the office, especially during harvest time and bring vegetables from his garden. Last fall he brought some yellow squash, cucumbers and a couple of tomatoes for me and Pastor Mike. I began to call him Louie during my time in the office. Before that I didn't know him well enough to call him by his fist name, but he didn't seem to mind.

I don't know if you remember me, we went to Wilson and Gavit together.  I remember your parents especially, your mom.  I just wanted to express my sympathy for your loss.  We are never too old to lose a parent.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I only met Louis when he moved into Village Woods.  I have missed all of his "gardening" advice since he has left us.  Louis was a good, kind man and I feel blessed to have "crossed" paths with him.  My sympathies to his family.

My Uncle Lou distinguished himself with three characteristics.  He always spoke his mind clearly with no doubts about where he stood on any topic; he loved his family and talking about them; he loved Christian service as he gave so many hours of unknown, unrecognized service to our home church Christian Fellowship Church in Hammond.
He was an amazing uncle to me who could wall paper any difficult room and make it seem so "perfect".  Now he is reunited with a perfect body and a host of friends and family who will be saying"...been waiting for you,Lou. Welcome home."

Mr Debore was a fine Christian man that shared the love of Jesus with all.who knew him. Our  thoughts and prayers our with his family. His faith was great and his love showed this. Our families were friends for years. Rusty was my Sundy school teacher. I look foward to seeing them both.My God Bless you in this time of loss.
