Maria Cristina Grados-Danessi

Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Maria Cristina Grados-Danessi, who passed away on October 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Maria Cristina Grados-Danessi, 87, was born in Lima, Peru, South America, to the late Sofia Danessi and the late Luis Danessi.

Maria was preceded in death by both her father and mother, Luis and Sofia Danessi; her sister, Norma; brother, Lucho; and her twin brother, Guillermo. She is survived by her four children who will lovingly remember her, Cristina (David Martinez) Grados, Silvia (Darrell) McDaniel, Jorge (Rene) Grados, and Julia (David) Rogers; her sister, Sofia Laos; and her grandchildren, John, Billy, Stephen, Thomas, Silvanna, Franklin, Kaitlyn, Jessica, Veronica, Monica, Angelica, Christian, Sebastian, Jorge, Jasmine, Josh, Gabe, Nikki and Tylor. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by her generous spirit. Sadly, Maria is leaving behind many relatives and friends, both here in the USA and in Lima, Peru.

Maria’s love was unconditional, her heart continually open, and her presence a source of comfort with her contagious laughter. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her. We will carry her memory in the stories we share and the love we hold in our hearts.

Please join us in the Celebration of Life on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, with Pastor Terry Williams officiating at 4:00 pm, at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations to continue to honor her in a Peruvian tradition.
