Marlene was an avid crossword puzzle completer never missing the opportunity to fill in the daily paper’s puzzle. Her favorite television show was Wheel of Fortune, and she could outplay the best of them. It was quite an accomplishment to solve a puzzle before she did. Her dream was to be on the show one day. She was a professional baker in her younger years and continued to pursue this passion throughout her life. As an incredible chef, she shared her meals with anyone who came to her home. She always had something on-hand or she would quickly prepare an amazing recipe of hers. Nobody left her home with an empty stomach. Her pierogi and cheese bread recipes are second to none. Everyone who has had a meal made by her will attest to its grandiosity. Her quick-wittedness and humor lit up the room until the very end. She will be missed dearly, but her memory will live on in her family’s hearts.
A graveside service for Marlene will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, promptly at 2PM at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery - 8178 Cline Ave. Crown Point, IN 46307.
