

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty (nee Nolan) Henry; her brother, Scott Parrish; and her grandparents, Anna and Virgil Nolan.
Melinda is survived by her father, Tony Henry; her sister, Valerie (Bob) Gilbert; her brothers, Mark Grisham, Joe (April) Grisham, and Michael Parrish; her aunt, Carol (Danny) Galayda; her uncle, Bill (Gloria) Nolan; as well as her nieces, Katie and Amber; and her nephew, Andrew.
Melinda was an active participant in the Alley Cats Bowling League and played for the Challengers Baseball League. She was a passionate Chicago Cubs fan, often rewatching their games. In her younger years, she also participated in the Special Olympics and was a proud Easter Seals child through Tradewinds. Melinda worked at Bridges (now Paladin), supporting special needs individuals.

A visitation for Melinda will be held Friday, March 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322. She will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
