I just learned about the passing of your mom. She and my mom were best friends since they were little. Joann (Walker) Michael. She was a wonderful woman. Some fond memories from when our families spent some time together to all of her help and shoulder to cry on during both of my parents illnesses and death. What a true angel she was. May she Rest In Peace with your father and all of her cherished family and friends. Prayers for all of you. 🙏🏻

We are so sorry to hear about Tommie's passing. Our prayers are with the entire family. Growing up a block away from the Certa family, I have many memories of Tommie (she was Mrs. Certa to me for many years) and the entire family. She was always the rock but sympathetic ear. I always seem to remember her in the kitchen either cooking or cleaning (mostly cleaning up). I was always welcome at the house and Alita & I went back & forth a lot. I'd walk over to pick up Alita to walk to school & "mom" would end up driving us to school because "someone" was going to make us late. I love the picture of them at my wedding in 1991 - she looks so happy and he looks like he is having fun. That's how I remember them as a couple. Thinking of the whole family - it's so hard to lose our parents, but judging by the pictures that the family posted, there are so many wonderful memories. Love from Cheryl (King) & Danny Webb

Tommie and my mom were friends for more than 60 years! She was always there for my mom through all of her ups and downs. She was such a good friend, a wonderful, kind, and generous person who had a great sense of humor. She was a person who made your life better for being in it. I know mine is better for having her in it. Now, my mom and Tommie are reunited together again. I'm sure they're up there giving them you know what!

I have a lifetime of memories. She was 10 , when I was born. ,We lived in the same house for years. She was always fun and spunky. When she brought Peter into the family the fun increased. They were always loving and kind. When her babies arrived she trusted me to babysit. Her house was always emaculate, and full of love. I loved spending time with her. After I was married, I was proud to be able to host her for a change. I have only loving memories. God must have needed one more big smile. Rest well my dear with Peter and do many gone before

Thomasanna Certa, aka Tommy, from Pete, or just mom for me, was the most generous, kind hearted, sweet soul on this earth. She always invited you to eat with the family, never had a mean word to say, upbeat and positive in any situation. Even when the folboats were falling off the roof…☺️ Love you ma, rest peacefully, and good luck keeping petey in line! ❤️🙏🏻✌️
