Vera J. Morrisroe

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anna Lisa Berrier; her husband, William Morrisroe; her father, Willie Reno; her mother, Ibrey (nee Dempsey) Reno; her first husband, Lonnie Hampton; her sisters, Mary Frances and Annie Faye; her brothers, Jeffie, Willard, and William Chester; her son-in-laws, Donald Bullington and Ronnie Berrier.

Vera is survived by her daughter, Charlotte (nee Hampton) Bullington; her step-daughter, Martha Hampton; her step-sons, William (Deborah) Morrisroe and Thomas (Sue) Morrisroe; her grandchildren, Jonda (Randy) Uylaki, Daniel Wasowicz, Robert Moreau III, and Rachael (Patrick) Varney; her great-grandchildren, Zachary Hope, Angel Bullington, Kyle Hope, Patrick Varney, Jr., Halia Varney, and Noah Hope; great-great grandchild, Elijah Hope; and many nieces and nephews.

Vera was a true gift from God to her family and everyone she encountered. She was a hard worker from an early age. Vera was a dedicated employee of the Portage School System for over 30 years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.

A visitation for Vera will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage, IN.
