William "Bill" "Jr" R. Cales

William R. "Bill" "JR" Cales, 83, of Griffith, IN, born in Brooks, WV August 4, 1927, passed away February 13, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Teresa; three sons: William (Fran) of Lemont, IL, David of Burr Ridge, IL, and Michael E. (Jerolee) of Talcott, WV; five daughters: Linda Cales (Arthur Haas) of New Orleans, LA, Laura (David) Gasper of Griffith, IN, Diane (Tony) Marcucci of Carol Stream, IL, Barbara (Tony) Griesenhofer of Milwaukee, WI, and Leslie (Bill) Figg of St. John, IN; daughter-in-law, Patricia of Porter, IN; 21 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; loving friends: Scott Mitchell and Jorge Rocha. Preceded in death by parents: Raymond and Tessie Cales, Schumate (nee Bragg); and one son, Melvin V. (Butch) Cales. Visitation will be Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. (with Masonic Rites services at 7:00 p.m.) at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, IN. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville. Members of Orak Shrine of Michigan City, IN will serve as pallbearers. Bill was a retired truck driver, an avid Harley Davidson rider, loyal member of Orak Shrine of Michigan City, IN, a senior motor patrol member in the Shrine, and also a member of the Masonic McKinley Lodge #712 of Schererville, IN.
