William Benton Hunt

William Benton Hunt, age 54, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 23, 2021. He is survived by his mother, Mary Hunt; sister, Marilynn Meredith; brother, Clifford Hunt; nieces, Elizabeth Meredith and Courtney Hunt; nephews, Albert, C.J. and Cody; special great-nieces, Maribel Merlos and Abigail Hendon; wife, Linda Louise Hunt; and special friends, Miguel M. and Bruce.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gene Hunt; and brother, Anthony Eugene Hunt.

Willie was born on August 14, 1967 in Hammond, IN and was a 1985 graduate of Calumet High School. He enjoyed working on mechanical things, had love for his dogs and spending time with his family and friends. Willie was a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, great uncle and friend, and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road Highland, IN, with Pastor Brian Shaver officiating. Interment to follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary, IN. Friends are invited to meet with family on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Per the families request, masks are required for attendance.
