Agnes W. Pickering, 97, of Chattanooga died Tuesday, December 12, 2017. She was born October 22, 1920 to the late Gus B. and Ethel Wright. Mrs. Pickering was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Pickering, Jr.; daughter, Sue Howard; brother, William E. Wright; and sister, Edythe Hixon.
Mrs. Pickering was a longtime member of First Centenary - United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann (Bob) Himmelsbach; son-in-law Bob Howard; grandchildren, Lynette (Alan) Darr, Greg (Sandra) Nipp, Melinda (Andy) Moniz, Rick (Karrie) Nowlin, and Pam (Bobby) Clark; and nine great grandchildren.
A private family service was held with Dr. David Harr officiating. Interment was in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff of Woodland Terrace Care and Rehab and Avalon Hospice for all their care.
Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, North Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
