He was born October 20, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Leroy and Mary Belle Morgan.
Mr. Morgan was a graduate of Chicago State University. He served in the United States Air Force and the Army Reserves and retired from the U. S. Postal Service.
He was a longtime member of Fellowship United Methodist Church in Chicago.
His brother, George Morgan preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Beverly Morgan; step-son, Daniel (Tammy Haymer) Givens of Chicago, IL; brothers, Leroy (Marietta) Morgan of Asheville, NC and Terry (Carmelita) Morgan of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Brittany, Dante, Aniya, and Taniya; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the North Chapel at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends following the service.
