Betty Joe Saywell, 81, of Harrison, formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on November 1, 2017. She was an avid piano player since the age of five and was a graduate of Central High School in Knoxville. Betty was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family, reading and sports. Betty was also a competitive roller skater.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Helen Haynes; brother, Wayne Haynes.
She is survived by her children, Richard M. Saywell, Sonja J. Saywell, Stephanie A. Saywell and Shawn Hash; grandchildren, Christopher A. Martin, Travis Ray Martin, Sarah Hansen, Korie E. Davies, Richard J.D. Saywell, Casey L. Hanson, Kayla Hash and Jackson Hash; great-grandchildren, Anabella, Rylie, Chloe, Mason and Savannah.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 10 am to 12 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 12 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel with a burial to follow after at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Louis Fletcher officiating.
