Billy Mack Mansfield Sr.

Bill was born in Dayton, Tennessee and served our country during World War II in the U. S. Navy on the USS Okanogan. He was a retired electrician / estimator with Nabco Electric and a member of the IBEW Local # 175. Bill was a former member and deacon at Highland Park Baptist Church, former member of Waldens Ridge Baptist Church in Dayton and currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He served on the mission fields and built churches in Brazil and Romania. Bill was a member of the Gideon’s International.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert and Evelyn McJunkins Mansfield; a granddaughter, Leslie Ayers Whitaker and several siblings, Glen and T. L. Mansfield, Juanita Green and Dorothy Harris.

Bill is survived by his wife of 68 years, Louise Logan Mansfield; sons, Billy “Mackey” Mansfield, Jr. and wife Mary, and Allen Mansfield and wife Linda; daughter, Donna Ayers and husband Roger; grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer Ayers, Jason Ayers, Aaron Ayers, Patrick Mansfield and wife Britney and Karen Mansfield; great granddaughter, Haley Mansfield; several nieces and nephews.

Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the North Chapel.

Services for Bill will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the North Chapel. Burial will be private for the family only at National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Billy’s name to the Gideon’s Bible International, 5100 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343 or to The Union Gospel Mission, P.O. Box 983,

Chattanooga, TN 37401.
