Brenda Wilson McCloud, 64, of Hixson departed this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, April 11, 2011. She was in the presence of her devoted husband of 45 years, her son, her daughter, and a family friend.
She was born in Knoxville, TN, daughter of the late Edgar Robert and Pauline Patterson Wilson.
Brenda was a charter member of Valleybrook Presbyterian Church, serving on the building committee and as a deacon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert D. Wilson.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Joseph P. McCloud; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and DeAnna McCloud of Hixson; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda McCloud and John Bartlett of Chickmauga, GA; four grandchildren, Hanna, Austin and Joshua McCloud, Carolina Bartlett; two step-grandchildren, Derek Waters and Dakota Hunkapiller.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 1 – 2 pm at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home followed by a celebration of Brenda’s life officiated by Father Bill Sharp, Rev Stuart Hilton and Rev Adel Thalos.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valleybrook Presbyterian Church, 6001 Hixson Pk. Chattanooga, TN 37343 or to a favorite charity.
