Carol McKenzie

Carol Roberts McKenzie, 80, of Signal Mountain died Sunday, July 10, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hayden and Marie Roberts; brother, Sonny Roberts, and a nephew, Michael Palmer. She was a longtime member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. Mrs. McKenzie was a graduate of Red Bank High School where she was a majorette and she attended the University of Chattanooga where she was a cheerleader and a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She was an active member of the Tacky 20 and of the Signal Mountain Garden Club.

Carol and her fellow walkers were a fixture in the Carriage Hill Subdivision for many years. She was often seen delivering meals or flowers to those in need. Her family was blessed by her joy and skill in providing a beautiful home.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, David L. McKenzie; daughter, Donna McKenzie; brothers –in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim (Rose) McKenzie, Judy Don) Sheldon, and Saundra Roberts Cobble; nieces and nephews, Jim (Katie) McKenzie, Colin McKenzie York, Hayden (Tammy) Roberts, Mike Roberts, Scott (Sandra) Roberts, Paige (Scott) Melville, and Susan Williams.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, July 14 at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church with Reverend Scott Bowen and Dr. William Dudley officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
