I believe that Carol Ann was about the closest thing to being an earthly angel as any I've ever known.  She was a near-perfect woman in almost ever respect.  She will certainly be missed.  RIP Carol Ann.  My condolences to her family.  "Cousin" Billy Massey

That smile of Her's was the best. She was such a positive and kind person. I met Carol Ann as a freshman in high school. I did not many of my classmates, but she was kind and accepting, always funny and enjoying life. The obituary described Carol very well. We worked together at Henry Horton State Park as summer workers. She was at the pool concessions, and I was a grounds keeper. Please accept my and my wife's (Barbara Moore, class 1967) condolences.

I was saddened when I saw the announcement of Carol’s death. I knew her to be a beautiful, compassionate person, and an accomplished art teacher. Many years ago, she and I were  faculty colleagues at Tyner High School. I vividly recall the last time I saw Carol. It was at a funeral home. She consoled me at the family visitation to remember my son, Leslie. It meant a lot to me that, twenty years after his high school graduation,  she still had fond memories of Leslie, and his gifted art talent. Her expression of kindness was comforting. She told me that he was always one of her favorite students. Leslie  always identified Carol as one of his favorite teachers.  I still cherish the art pieces he created in her class.  I pray that  sweet memories of Carol serve to comfort the family. She made the world a more beautiful place.

She was a light and an encouragement to all.

I'm so very sorry to read about Carol Ann. She and I were friends at Lipscomb. She was such fun and had an amazing smile! She and Randy were in Knoxville 7 or 8 years ago and we had lunch.  Still as sweet and bubbly as I remembered!
