Carroll Nabors, Sr.Carroll H. Nabors, Sr., 94, Chattanooga passed away on Friday, January, 15, 2010.Mr. Nabors retired from Combustion Engineering after 45 years of service as a boilermaker. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Benjamin Nabors and Lena Mae Johns Nabors; grandson, Jeff Pettit; sisters, Edna Wiseman, Juanita Matsumoto and Anna Louise Eaves; brother, John W. NaborsSurvivors include his wife of 70 years Aline Spencer Nabors; daughter, Nancy (Nelson) Pettit; son, Carroll (Charlotte) H. Nabors, Jr., grandsons, Roger (Christie) Pettit, Craig Nabors, Charles (Meredith) Nabors; great-grandchildren, Corey Pettit, Jessica Nabors, Shelby Nabors, Madison Nabors, Tanner Nabors, Chase Pettit; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 18, 2010 at the North Chapel with Dr. David Bragg and Pastor Ronnie Gilbert officiating.Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 6:00 PM today, Sunday, January 17, 2010 and on Monday from 12:00 PM (Noon) until the time of the service at the North Chapel.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Lakewood Baptist Church Building Fund, 6626 Hunter Road, Harrison, TN 37341, phone- 344-6334.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.mem.comArrangements are made by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, 5401 Hwy 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
