Charles Wesley “Charlie” Griffith, 66, of Rossville died Monday, October 30, 2017 at his home of natural causes. He was born January 31, 1951 in Chattanooga to the late Charles Richard and Ruth Ann Griffith. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Rhett Griffith.
He was a member of Abba’s House. Charlie loved to fish he taught both his grandchildren to fish and helped them catch their first fish. He was an expert dart player and won many dart championships. He was a very good ping pong player. He was a great baseball pitcher in high school and was being recruited by several colleges, instead he married the loved of his life, whom he loved till the day he died.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle (Tim) Talbert; grandchildren, Trace Talbert and McHaney Talbert; sisters, Janis G. Simmons, and Toni Griffith; brother, Ronnie Griffith; nieces, Missy Fine, Tangie Wooden, and Staci Brewster; aunt, Judy Blasdell; cousins, Kim Mitchell, and Kelly Hutchins; nephew Dustin Griffith.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 Thursday, November2, 2017 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 -2:30 Thursday.
