Les was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a member of St. John United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Johnson; brother, James “Jim”; sister, Charlene Hixson; mother and father, Gladys and Clarence Johnson.
He is survived by his sons, David (Barbie) and Phillip (Rebecca); grandson, Aaron Patrick; granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne; and brothers, Wayne (Carol S.), and Craig (Carol A.) Johnson.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 4-8 Wednesday and from 12-2 Thursday.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Thursday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Vernon Windom officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Wayne Johnson, Craig Johnson, Phil Pritchard, Mike Smith, Joe Brown and Eddie McMahan.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
