Cheryl Kaye Pruett

Cheryl was born in Gallatin, TN and raised in Hixson. She was a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church and graduated from Hixson High School with the Class of ’67 where she was a member of the marching band, and later attended Middle Tennessee State University. Cheryl was a dedicated homemaker who loved to garden, care for plants, loved puzzles, art and listening to classical music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Maxine McKnight; and brother, Steve McKnight.

Surviving are her children, Angel (Dwayne) Llewellyn and Anthony Pruett; grandchildren, Savanah (Ryan) Jeffery, Bailey Richardson and Logan Richardson; great-granddaughter, Avery Scarlet Richardson; sisters, Carol Hawkins, Donna McKnight and Cindye (David) Valentine; brother, Mike (Dora) McKnight; former husband, Martin Pruett; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the funeral home.

Graveside Services will follow at 11 AM at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Kevin Becker officiating.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Spring City Care & Rehab, especially nurses Tammy and Connie, her dedicated CNAs and Hearth Hospice for all of the love and care shown to Cheryl during her illness.
