Chuck was born on July 1st 1951 in Rossville, GA to his father, Donald Lee Hartman and his mother, Mary Marie Hartman. As a young adult, Chuck joined the United States Army and served with honor as a Sergeant. After honorary discharge, he relocated to Chattanooga, TN with his loving and devoted wife Marcia Hartman. He later went on to pursue a dedicated career as an Operator at the Signal Mountain Cement Plant. Above all of his careers, Chuck dedicated his life to being the best "Papaw" raising his three grandchildren with his wife Marcia.
Chuck was a one-of-a-kind son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be immensely remembered for his sense of humor, contagious smile, kindness, love for the outdoors, eyes that twinkled with mischief, and simplistic view he had for all things in life.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marcia; grandchildren Austin Hartman, Adara Gaskin (Jared), and Allynah Hartman; great grandchild Evelyn Rose Hartman; siblings Michael Hartman (Mary), Diane Morgan (Craig), Annette Beard (Tommy), Lee Hartman (Vickie) and Lori Ann Duke (Brandon); along with numerous nieces, nephews, and special loved ones.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Marie Hartman; and daughter Wendy Elaine Hartman.
Visitation will be held between 4 and 8 PM on the 2nd of October at Hamilton Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on HWY 153 in Hixson, TN. A memorial service to celebrate Chuck's life will be held at 2:30 PM on the 3rd of October, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on HWY 153 in Hixson, TN.
