Daniel “Danny” Slaten Gay, 52, of Chattanooga, passed away on February 18, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. He graduated from Ooltewah High School and was a member of IBEW local 175. Despite being intimidating at first glance, standing tall with a serious demeanor, those who took the time to engage with him discovered a kindhearted individual who genuinely cared for others.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Dan R. Gay and his beautiful daughter, Amelia S. Gay.
Survivors include the love of his life, Niki Boles; his daughter, Veda M. Gay; mother, Linda T. Gay; brother, Kyle Gay; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm with funeral service at 2:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
