Dennis R. Broadrick

Dennis was born in Birmingham, Alabama and was a long time resident of the Chattanooga area. He served our country during the Korean War in the Medic Corp in the United States Army stationed in Germany. Dennis was the treasurer for his family business, Hatfield and Keefe Furniture for 16 years and also retired from Erlanger Medical Center. He was a former member of Signal Mountain Church of Christ where they had donated the land for the church to be built and currently a member of Clear Creek Church of Christ formerly Hixson Church of Christ. Dennis enjoyed their trips to the beach and mountains. He spent many hours in his work shop making bird houses and other carpentry items for gifts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bertha Roy Broadrick and an infant son.

Dennis is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Edithann Broadrick; children, Denise Broadrick and Charles F. Broadrick and wife Wendy; grandchildren, Casey L. Christopher, Wesley A. Pickett, Corey Idrogo and wife Brooke and Chelsea Karpinko and husband Andy; great grandchildren, Claire Christopher and Brynna Karpinko.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, January 8, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and 10 to 11 am on Friday, at Clear Creek Church of Christ.

A celebration of life service for Dennis will follow at 11 am on Friday Clear Creek Church of Christ, 5612 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343 with Minister Joey Davis and Minister Greg Nance officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family has asked that memorial contributions be made in Dennis’ name to Clear Creek Church of Christ, Martin Boyd Christian Home, 6845 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421 or Hearth Hospice, 1800 Rossville Ave, Suite 7, Chattanooga, TN 37408.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
