Diane Moscatelli Ellis

She was the devoted wife of Dennis Ellis, who loved her deeply and stood by her side with unwavering devotion. Their marriage was rooted in love, commitment, and family. Diane was a loving mother to her children: Josh (Jennifer) Ellis, Carie (Derek) Roncin, Jeremy (Katrina) Ellis, and Jason (Nicole) Ellis. Her pride and joy extended to her grandchildren, Emily (Cameron) Close, Logan Ellis, Nathan Ellis, Megan Roncin, Briana Ellis, Tayden Ellis, Leo Ellis, and Pyper Ellis, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She was also blessed with one great-granddaughter, Hazel Close, who brought her immense happiness.

Diane is also survived by her brother, Alan Drexel Taylor, and her sister, Gena Walker, along with extended family members and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

A woman of strong faith, Diane was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church of Soddy Daisy, where she was loved by many within the congregation. Her faith guided her life, and her warmth, generosity, and spirit touched countless lives. She valued fellowship, friendship, and service, and she found great joy in her church family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 23, at 12:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Soddy Daisy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital (Buz Standefer Lung Center) in honor of the wonderful staff—especially those in the ICU—who made her final days as comfortable and meaningful as possible.

She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
