She taught school in Bradley County. After her retirement, she volunteered with many school activities, often assisting her daughters with their classroom decorations. She was very creative. She loved to read, travel, and make journals. Research was her gift; if you had a question about anything, she would get you the answers.
Mrs. Miles was very active in children’s ministries serving at East Ridge Church of God and Woodside Church of God in Greenville, South Carolina.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Vernon Miles, daughters, Regina Miles and Jessica (John) Acosta, sisters, Levaughan (Terry) Wittman and Beverly (Bryan) Wheble, and a brother, LaVoy (Kathy) Lee.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Monday, August 1 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Bryan Wheble and Reverend Chad Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
