She was born in Pikeville, TN to the late Sam and Maggie Romans. Edna graduated from Bledsoe County High School, attended Lee University, and received a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. She was a school teacher at Rivermont Elementary School, retiring after 25 years. She loved teaching her 5th and 6th grade students.
Edna was a member of North Chattanooga Church of God for many years, and she was currently a member of Hixson United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 70 years, Jack Williams; her parents, listed above; brothers, Edgar (Josephine) Romans and Robert (Frances) Romans; sister, Edith (Gene) Spencer; and great-grandson, Isaac Moore.
Survivors include daughter, Deborah (Charles) Tucker; sons, Anthony Williams and Joel (Chiesa) Williams; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and three nieces.

A visitation for Edna will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, P.O. Box 9, Hixson, TN 37343. A celebration of life service will start at 2:00 PM following the visitation. A committal will occur Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 TN-153, Chattanooga, TN 37343.
