Faye Stanley Davis entered into her rest on September 5, 2008 at her home in Evans, Georgia. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward E. Davis, former District Attorney General of Hamilton County, Tennessee
Faye was born on June 8, 1919 in Pleasant Hill, Cumberland County, Tennessee. The eldest of three children, she attended Pleasant Hill Academy and later graduated from business school and worked for a few years as a secretary at Tennessee Valley Authority.
She is also predeceased by her parents, William J. Stanley and Mae Stanley Campbell of Crossville, Tennessee, and by her two brothers, Thomas J. Stanley of Crossville, Tennessee and Ernest M. Stanley of San Antonio, Texas. Faye is survived by her two children, Stanley D. (Kathy Perkins) Davis of Lawrence, Kansas, and Lynda D. Sims of Augusta, Georgia, as well as two grandchildren, Lee F. Davis and James E. Davis of Lawrence, Kansas.
The family will host a Memorial Service at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Saturday, October 2, 2010.
Guests will be received at 11:00 a.m., followed by the service at noon. Prior to her death, Faye donated her body to the Medical College of Georgia. Following the Memorial Service, her remains will be buried in Hamilton Memorial Gardens next to her late husband.
