Faye C. Myers, 86, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020. Faye was the youngest of William and Minnie Covington’s 7 children, born in Marble Hill, Georgia on September 12, 1934. She married Robert Jerry Myers who preceded her in death in February of 2018. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marsha Myers Boudrie Matherley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Greg Myers of Broken Arrow, OK; Richard Myers (Becky) of Lebanon, TN; and Nancy DeBolt (Victor) of Midlothian, VA. She is known as Granny Faye to Marcus, Katelyn and Jessica and three great grandchildren with one on the way.
Over the years, Faye enjoyed her work at Hixson High School cafeteria as well as Miller Brothers and Walmart. She also was the former owner of Crafts N Things. She was a long time member of Hixson First Baptist Church.
Due to the current pandemic, Faye will be entombed at Hamilton Memorial Gardens and the family will have a private memorial service with Terry Shannon officiating.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to The Gardens of Providence Place at Mount Juliet for taking such great care of Momma for the last 3 years.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or to Mary Ellen Locher Breast Cancer Foundation.
