Frances Virginia Long Lappin, 97, of Chattanooga died Tuesday, December 1, 2020. She was born January 31, 1923 in Roark Cove, Tennessee to the late John and Della Long. Her husband, Paul Edwin Lappin preceded her in death.
She was a 1947 graduate of the Baroness Erlanger School of Nursing Cadet Corps. She spent the last 19 years of her nursing career working with Dr. Edward Reisman. After retirement, she enjoyed working the election polls. She was a long time member of Northside Community Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Lappin and Paulette Tessmann; grandchildren, P.J. (Kelly) Tessmann, Tara Jones, Jo (Rick) Young, and Casey (Chris) Pianta; and 10 Great Grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
