Geneva P. Granert, 95, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013. She was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church. Her late husband and brother, Clyde were partners in Pruett’s Food Town Grocery, East Ridge; Rossville locations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Louis Granert; parents, Ben and Thompsie Pruett; siblings, A. Clyde Pruett, Jim Pruett, Fred Pruett, Alexander Pruett, Louise Monteith, Dessie Kirk; step-son, James Granert and daughter, Barbara Jean Austin.
Geneva is survived by her son, Thomas E. Granert and granddaughter, Stephanie (Justin) Newton.
Visitation will be Friday, September 13, 2013 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 9 AM Saturday at North Chapel with burial in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
