
George Bowman “Bo” LeNoir, age 56, of Chattanooga died Tuesday June 1, 2011 in Chattanooga. He was born May 11, 1955 in Chattanooga the son of the late Bertram Edward “Mullie” LeNoir, Jr. and Evangeline Ball LeNoir. Mr. LeNoir earned his B. A. from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he later worked as an assistant director of undergraduate services. He moved to Washington D.C. where he was Director of Graduate Enrollment Services at George Washington School of Business. He earned his M.A. and J.D. from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and was the organist at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Upon his return to Chattanooga he engaged in the private practice of law and was serving as the Director of Legal Services at the Hamilton County Juvenile Court at the time of his death.
Survivors include a brother B. E. “Mullie” LeNoir, III; sisters Anne Mathis and Elise “Leasty” Chapman; nieces Elise Chapman, Katherine Chapman and Evan Mathis; and close friend Chris Martin.
The family will receive friends at Christ Church Episcopal Friday June 3, 2011 from 5-8 and Saturday from 12-1.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at the church with the Reverend John Talbird and the Reverend Dr. Harry Lawrence officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Hospital Cancer Resource Center.
