Greg was born to Lamar and Beverly Sitton on June 27, 1963. He graduated from Red Bank High School in 1982. As a boy, Greg enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles and digging in the dirt. He turned his love of dirt into a successful excavating and trucking business for 45 years as the owner of Sitton Construction Company. Greg was a member of Signal Mountain Baptist Church, now known as The Point Church at Signal Mountain and was saved at a young age. He had a great love for both people and animals. If you visited his home over the years, you would have met his many dogs, cats, horses, llamas, chickens, and his beloved donkey, Jack.
Greg lived large and had a huge heart. He practiced many silent acts of kindness and generosity to people in need. He loved talking to people, and he never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, listed above; his precious daughter, Natalie Sitton; his sister, Lisa Cornett; and his nephew, Whitt.
He is survived and dearly missed by his wife, Amy Sitton; son, R.J. (Riley) Sitton; sister, Susan (Bill) Christopher; brother, Brian (Jill) Sitton; nieces, Kelsey Sitton, Laura Sitton, Mary Hadley, and Emma Christopher; nephews, Coleman Sitton and Will Christopher; and his grandchildren, Foster Sitton and Rigsby Sitton.
