Today I learned that my great American friend has passed away.  When I came to Chattanooga 1996 you became a close friend. We visited Lake Tahoe and your cousin Matt and did some great skiing. Together we did San Francisco and stayed at your aunt and uncles place. Lovely people. Muir Woods is a place I will visit again in honor of your memory. You followed me to Luleå Sweden and met my wife. Even Ronnie came to visit. You were one of two students ever going from Chattanooga to Luleå but thanks to us many Swedish students have been to UTC, like Magnus and Anna. Greg we had a great time in the arctic climate and no Greg there are no polar bears on campus =D
I wish you would have met my kids. I miss all the great discussions we had. Your were a true person. I failed to visit you when I came back to Chattanooga a few years ago. Now we will never meet again.

Love From The Heart Of A Mother
Gods word says that children are a blessing and I believe His word with all my heart. When I first saw my baby boy my heart was overflowing with love and joy. That love and joy grew as the years passed. When he was hurting I would wrap my arms around him to provide comfort. As he grew from a child into adulthood he embraced God's beautiful creation around him by living each day with enthusiasm and hope and dreams. He was not afraid and looked forward to meeting his Lord and Savior. Although he left too soon for my liking, I believe God's promises and will embrace my smiling son one day. 

Love and prayers all of you! My heart is truly broken. Can't stop thinking about him. I loved him dearly. Love you too!

I'm so sorry for your family's loss. My family were neighbors of yours for years and Gregory was always so sweet, enthusiastic, and friendly. He was also a friend who will be missed. He had a heart of gold.

Some insight imparted on me in a time of turmoil. Upon meeting him, he took the time to listen to me and we had some very memorable conversations. I'm going to miss these few and far between conversations. I knew right away you were such a bright light and sweet soul, Greg. I am saddened that I wasn't able to get to know you better in this life, but I hope to meet again in another life. 

I'm saddened to hear of the passing of my friend, Gregory Williams. I have lots of great memories of running around Chattanooga with him in the late 90's. One afternoon we both went to a Lookout's game with Banks Pappas. There was a brief thunderstorm during the game that soaked the streets.  After the game we all climbed into my 1974 VW Thing, which unfortunately did not have a convertible top. As we raced through downtown streets, Banks and I got a little wet in the front, but it wasn't until we stopped a light a looked back to see Gregory COMPLETELY SOAKED in the backseat. This was shortly after his hang gliding accident and he was just sitting there laughing with a big toothless grin. That's the Gregory I knew, full of love and wonder and not letting  a little rain ruin a great day. The world lost a beautiful soul and he will be missed dearly. We love you Gregory.

Had to say goodbye to one of my best friends today. I've had to say goodbye too many times this year. This one really hurt bad. Gregory Williams you will never leave my thoughts buddy.

My heart is heavy today that I can't be there with my friends to celebrate the life of Gregory Williams, but we will all be there in spirit near or far. I love you all so much. 

I would like to say Greg has been so kind and thoughtful to me and always brought a smile. I'm very sorry about this.

Can't believe my old friend, Greg, has left his earth so soon. Greg taught me a lot about the simple things and maintain a childlike sense of wonder for this life as we age, which seems to be a key to happiness for the hops of not growing callus with experience. Greg was full of life and charisma and I'm going to miss him so much. I will forever remember our many hikes, silly dances, eating at our favorite places after going on long hikes in the mountains, and I am very thankful to have shared these experiences with him.

So sad to hear you are no longer hear. This song always reminded me of driving around Signal Mountain in your jeep and you trying to talk me into hang gliding. (Which is still a no!) RIP my friend. You were so dang smart. The world has a little less light today. 

I do not know how I'm going to do life without this guy. It's take me 5 days to post this, because it still doesn't seem real. I keep expecting someone to call me and tell me it was all a mistake and that he's fine. We've known each other since the day we were born. We were born in the same hospital, on the same day, and our mothers were in the same room. I was born a few hours before him, and I never let him forget it. His dad worked for/with my dad for close to 50 years I guess. We tortured each other and often fought like brother and sister. Me always claiming victory, as I've always been the most witty. We tried dating in high school, with disastrous results, realizing fairly quickly that we were better off as best friends, as family. He has a fairly prominent role in mine and Eric's wedding video, as I was not going to let him miss my garter throw. He needed to catch that thing. He always said that I couldn't have done any better than Eric. And I've always agreed. He loved Eric and he loved our kids. He stood right by my side the day we put daddy to rest. I felt comfort and security in those dark days, because I knew his heart was genuine and that he truly cared. It breaks my heart that he never found true love or had the children that he wanted, but God has another plan for him. I don't know what, but I know it's a much higher purpose. Gregory has never not been there. They've always been like a second family. So much so  that he's being buried in our family cemetery with dad. I know dad would be honored. I loved him like a brother and will miss him until I take my last breath. I just can't believe he's gone. He was so full of life and always positive and uplifting. I was going through some serious trials  and tribulations back in the summer. He sent me a message that I will treasure forever. Giving me words of wisdom and advice that could only have come from our dads. He leaves behind his precious mom and dad, a sister and her husband, and two nieces. Please keep them in your prayers, as their lives have been forever changed. I love you Greg and will miss you forever. Tell Daddy we're missing him too. Y'all try not to get into too much trouble up there, and save us a seat. We'll see you later.   

I am so very saddened to hear about Gregory's passing. We started as friends in his hang gliding days and he would occasionally come to my house on Lookout with some crazy video/sailing idea. He was good fun, always so upbeat and smiling. Even though we didn't see each other much lately, he will be missed. RIP friend...

So saddened to hear of the loss of my good friend, Gregory Williams. He was always bursting with energy, optimism, and ambition. He truly inspired me. Greg was a loving person who only wanted to make the world a better place. His heart was huge and so were his goals. I am crushed that he has left us so young. It's a shock. Life is unpredictable. You will be missed dearly, Greg. 

One of the few people I've met in my life that I had an instant chemistry with, the kind of connection I know is rare and profound. I still don't believe it. I'll be forever grateful for your friendship and kindness.

Keeping the Williams family in my prayers. He was the sweetest human being God ever put on this planet. Such a smart and uplifting person. I love you buddy. 

Just found out about Gregory's passing. This makes my heart break. Not sure how but I am praying that his family finds comfort. He was such a sweet guy and will be dearly missed by many. Gregory was such an amazing person. He impacted so many lives in so many ways. He was one of the sweetest and funniest guys I had ever met. He always had a smile on his face and always tried to do so much for others. Please pray for this amazing family to get through this hard time. We will never understand why things happen the way they do but I am glad to say that his family will see him again one day. He will never be forgotten in all our hearts.

You were one of the good ones. Miss you already. I love you!!!

Lost a darling friend last night and my heart is broken. Gregory was like a big brother to me and he will be missed dearly. A silly, happy, shining, jubilant person who made our lives richer and whole. Hold your loved ones tight.
